What quality problems will occur in common cable production?
1. Poor plasticization of extrudate
The wire and cable manufacturers mentioned the plasticization problem in the temperature control requirements mentioned above. Generally, the plasticization is mainly manifested as: the surface of the extruded cladding plastic is black, matte, and has small cracks; the extruded cladding is at the glue. There are obvious seams; the irregular temperature control of the spiral cable is the main reason for the poor plasticization of the extrudate, including: the temperature control is too low; other plastic particles with different properties are mixed in the insulation or sheath material; screw conversion Too fast, the plastic has not fully plasticized; the plastic itself has quality problems.
2.Scorched plastic cable
Plastic scorch is a common quality defect in the process of plastic extrusion. Its main manifestations are: the temperature shows an extremely high temperature; the extruded plastic layer has coke particles; there are continuous air bubbles at the glue joint. The main reasons for this are: the temperature control is as high as the thermal degradation temperature of the plastic; the screw has not been cleaned for a long time, and the accumulated scorch is extruded with the molten plastic; the heating or downtime is too long, and the plastic in the barrel is decomposed by long-term heating ; The temperature control instrument is out of control or inaccurate, resulting in high temperature decomposition.
3. The appearance of squeezed package is unqualified
Wire and cable manufacturers' unsatisfactory extrusion appearance is mainly manifested by scratches on the surface of the extrusion cladding; roughened spiral cables with trachoma or microcracks; and any defects caused by poor plasticization. The main reason is that the choice of extrusion die sleeve is not reasonable. Impurities in the extruding die sleeve can cause scratches on the sheath surface. Excessive heating of the extruder head causes rough, or low temperature causes micro-cracks; damage to the sizing area of the die sleeve; abrasion of the sheath in the water tank, etc.
4.Cable manufacturers found that some of the cladding sections had pores or bubbles
The main reasons for pores or air bubbles in the section of the extrusion cladding include: too high temperature control, especially in the feed section; plastic is damp and moisture; stop for a long time, the decomposition of plastic is not excluded; high natural humidity; water in the cable core Or the gas content is too high.
