Carbon fiber wire has the characteristics of high strength, light weight, high elastic modulus, small coefficient of linear expansion, small sag, small line loss, large current capacity (high allowable temperature), corrosion resistance, long service life, etc. It is especially suitable for the use environment with high corrosion strength, high pollution strength, and easy-to-dance wires in coastal and mining areas.


The development background of this wire is that the original transmission line's transmission capacity can no longer meet the rapid growth of the load. Carbon fiber conductors have many of his advantages, but also have his shortcomings. Defect Type 3: "Lantern", Drum Bag


Brief introduction: For a 220kV transmission line capacity expansion and reconstruction project, the original 1 × LGJ-400 / 35 steel core aluminum stranded conductor was replaced with 1 × JRLX / T-400 carbon fiber conductor. The "lantern" and bulging of wires occurred during the construction of the wires.

Cause analysis: Carbon fiber conductors are twisted from an inner layer of carbon fiber core and an outer layer of aluminum wire. During the process of displaying or tightening a carbon fiber wire, the aluminum wire on the surface of the carbon fiber wire will stretch due to tension. There is a gap between the strands of the aluminum wire. The force makes the strands of the wire closer together, and the gap becomes smaller. Although the length of the wire is changed, the entire wire is elongated.) The inner carbon fiber core rod due to strength High, small amount of deformation. The outer aluminum wire and the inner carbon fiber mandrel will relatively slide. Due to the change in tension during operation, the aluminum wire on each surface layer is unevenly stressed, causing the aluminum wire to break.

Recommendations: (1) The technical specifications of different wire manufacturers during processing will be different, which will lead to different twisting tightness of the finished wire. Before the operation, the manufacturer's technical disclosure should be performed, and the manufacturer's operating requirements should be strictly tightened. Conductors; (2) Special pre-twisted tensile tools should be used during the construction of tight wires and wires, reducing the use of sliders and cable clamps to avoid stress concentration; (3) construction process of large tensile sections In the case of tight line drawing, if the tension length of the tensioning section is satisfied, the remaining wire on the tight side should be cut off and then tightened to make the "creep elongation" of the aluminum wire as far as possible at the break.
